We will be carrying out planned maintenance to our Business Voice platform between 11:59pm on Monday 19 October and 2:00am on Tuesday 20 October 2026.

The work is designed to improve the security of our Business Voice platform by restricting access from non-UK internet connections.

Who may be affected?

Most UK-based customers are not expected to be affected. However, the following customers or services may experience issues during or following the maintenance:

• Business Voice customers working outside the UK, including those using a softphone, mobile SIP client or remote handset.

• Customers connected through a non-UK VPN, where the internet connection appears to originate outside the UK.

• Hosted Business Voice administrators accessing the platform from outside the UK.

• Customers using SIP trunks, integrations or third-party services where connections to WightFibre originate from outside the UK.

Affected users may be unable to register their Business Voice service, make or receive calls, or access relevant Business Voice services while connecting from a non-UK internet connection.

During this maintenance, customers may experience a brief interruption to telephone services, which is expected to last less than five minutes.

The work has been scheduled overnight to minimise disruption, and services should return to normal once the maintenance is completed.
